I was thinking, Gangster movies were as common as Buddy Cop flicks for decades, but now they seem to be more and more rare as mainstream movies. I was looking at some lists for the top 20 or 30 gangster movies of all time and they all end in 2007. Part of the reason the mid-2000s Chrysler 300 was so successful and still does so well mainstream was due to how much of an American Mafia car it appeared to be. When was the last time you used the “how many bodies could I fit in here” metric when car shopping? That used to be the first comment out of anyone’s mouth when showing off the rear of a car at shows.

Interesting theory. Not sure if I agree or not, I’d have to give it some more thought. It has been a while since I’ve seen a new gangster/mafia movie though.

Hmmm Who would you cast for the main characters in Casino?
I honestly can’t think of a good combo now I’m trying.

I use that with literally every car purchase I make.
Although I am from New Jersey.

Ace: Jason Schwartzman (nephew of F. F. Coppola) or Bradley Cooper
Nicky: Michael Pitt or Jonah Hill.
Ginger: Hayden Panettiere or Kaley Cuoco

Schwartzman and Michael Pitt. That would be awesome.
